Preventing the Galvanic Replacement Reaction toward Unconventional Bimetallic Core–Shell Nanostructures

چکیده

A bimetallic core–shell nanostructure is a versatile platform for achieving intriguing optical and catalytic properties. For long time, this has been limited to ones with noble metal cores. Otherwise, galvanic replacement reaction easily occurs, leading hollow nanostructures or completely disintegrated ones. In the past few years, great efforts have devoted preventing reaction, thus creating an unconventional class of nanostructures, each containing less-stable-metal core shell. These new demonstrated show unique work, we first briefly summarize strategies synthesizing type such as delicately designed thermodynamic control kinetic methods. Then, discuss effects on stabilization nanocrystals emerging The use hollow/porous also discussed. At end review, remaining challenges associated provide our perspectives future development field.
